Abstract

This presentation will cover some of the more recent work on computer-based educational paradigms being developed at Lam Reasearch Corporation’s Technical Training Organization. The tasks undertaken in this case are soley aimed at adult learners. These training activities range across multiple cultures and organizations, and so would suffer inefficiencies if a single training construct were attempted to deliver the required material. The presentation reviews the various constraints and solution options for handling such diverse educational environments, and some of the approaches used in a solution. Although the chosen module for development was Adobe Captivate, the same approach and solution techniques can be adapted to other delivery products to execute in these new exciting computer-based education paradigms.
